Self-guided, your way
Why we built XploreWise
During a trip to Kauai, we took a self-guided tour that completely changed the way we thought about exploring a destination. We loved having the freedom to go at our own pace, discover places we might have missed, and learn the stories behind what we were seeing.
That experience sparked an idea. What if we could combine our love of travel and food with our curiosity for discovering what makes a place truly special, and share those experiences with others?
That idea became XploreWise. XploreWise is a travel experience brand owned and operated by Jacobs Collective LLC. XploreWise creates self-guided digital tours and curated local experiences designed to help travelers discover destinations through the perspective of people who know them.
Look closer. Discover more.
How we believe travel should feel
Explore your way
No rigid schedules. No crowded groups. Stop for a photo, linger over lunch, take a detour or keep exploring. Your time is yours.
Look closer
The best parts of a destination aren't always the most obvious. We help you notice the stories, flavors, places and details that make somewhere worth remembering.
Made for real travel
Plans change. Cell service disappears. Curiosity takes over. Our experiences are designed to be simple, flexible and easy to enjoy wherever the day takes you.
Rooted in place
Every XploreWise experience begins with curiosity and thoughtful research into the food, history, culture and stories that give a destination its personality.
Meet the founders
“We've always believed the best parts of travel are the things you don't expect to find.”
Michelle & Scott Jacobs
Co-Founders, XploreWise
We're travelers at heart who believe the best way to experience a destination is to slow down, stay curious and explore beyond the obvious.
Whether we're searching for a great local meal, following a road we've never been down, or learning the story behind a place, we're always looking for the experiences that make a trip memorable.
We created XploreWise to share that sense of discovery with others and make exploring easier, more flexible and a whole lot more fun.
We explore. We discover. Then we help you do the same.
